Memories from adolescence, to the first ventures into a broad world of culture shock and realizations. Story's that lead to the flipside.
THE DUO MICKIEFLIP

Exposed constantly to an array of sound, instruments and related devices, the brother's music ideologies were influenced by many different aspects. Their journey began at childhood with influences from golden oldies to metal and beyond.
Fed a steady and varied aural diet, in part by their musical parents and family members, a legion of genres have fused and taken on the shape of something unique within
The Duo Mickieflip.
Not wanting their love or use of technology to over shadow the realness of the music they create and perform, they have chosen a careful approach to the analog and digital realms. With this blend, The Duo's unique sound remains and yet
gives every song it's own life.

I am inspired by art, family and life experiences that have changed my person in one way or another. I draw from the past to remind me where I come from, where I will return, and to help me move forward. I view the present to help me crave more, and I call on the future to take me as I will be when I arrive. I believe I am an artist of feeling and my words, my sounds and my sights are the products of my full being.

Music itself provides inspiration for me to write music. I hear music and melodies all day and night in my head and even a phrase someone says can make me recall a song. Likewise when I hear another writer's song I'm usually creating in my head my own part to their music. This gets me writing songs in my head before I even get to the desk. Thank God for iPhones and MacBooks because I can get ideas while in the bathroom of a restaurant or during a drive to the grocery store that need to be jotted down.
